Data privacy and you

Bermuda’s data privacy laws require organisations like us to tell our customers what personal information we hold and how we use it. Our privacy notices are our way of providing our Personal Banking customers with this information.

Our privacy notices include information such as explaining why different types of personal data is collected, how that data is used and disclosed, and your rights regarding your data.

Your rights are:

  • The right to access personal information we hold about you and details of how we use your personal information. To get this information, complete the  PIPA Access request form. You can send it to us at the address above, or hand it in at one of our branches. A fee is payable to HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited (the “Bank”) in respect of this request for information, as per our fee schedule.
  • In some circumstances, you have the right to ask that we delete your personal information. We may continue to keep your personal information if we're entitled or required to retain it. To ask for this, complete the PIPA Erasure request form. You can send it to us at the address above, or hand it in at one of our branches.
